Well almost 2 weeks out and I'm feeling so so much better. I even dug out some clothes that I was wearing last summer. To my surprise they fit! I am so happy. I don't buy new clothes I shop at value village and other second hand stores. I know I will only be wearing these clothes for a short period of time, so it's affordable. When I hit my final goal weight I'm going to shop until I drop! I'm pleased with my weight loss so far and am beginning to love my sleeve. I still have some pain, but nothing to really hold me back from getting out and about. I'm no longer hiding in my house to ashamed to show my face. I'm enjoying everyday! I'm now getting in my 3 shakes a day! It's been hard, but keeping a liquid journal has helped me keep focused on getting to where I need to be. I had some issues, but they too have come to pass. No pun intended..lol. All and all I'm sleeved, and now my weight loss journey begins. I'm not running a marathon to get this weight off overnight. But am so willing now to take my time and do this right. Acknowledge my trials with food and deal with them as they come. I was in a rush to get this weight off a year ago and now it's different. My health is so very important to me now that eating right is my goal. Thanks for all the encouragement you have given me! Seeing your successes to date continue to inspire me in every way! ~Cheryl

Way to go Cheryl, you must be so happy. Won't be long and you will have a whole new wardrobe!

I've been trying to lose as well and got into a pair of jeans I bought three years ago and couldn't fit. They zipped without a problem and I wore them for 3 days I was so happy. I still have 35 lbs to go to qualify for surgery here in Winnipeg but it's coming off.

Pam your so right! I'm not stepping on the scale until Laura weighs me in at my 1 month appointment. I am totally in the dark as to how much I've lost at this point. I'm strictly going by my clothing and that's it. I don't want the scale to mandate how I feel each day or to discourage me in any way. I'm in control! and I'm happy about that! Having the sleeve has helped me realize I will get to goal sometime, And I'm OK with that.....~Cheryl

Congratulations! I should have done what you've done re: the scale...I seem to be waging a daily war with it for the past week. It feels like i've been the same weight for the entire past 7 days....grrr. I really shouldn't weigh myself as often, it's really annoying when the scale won't even lie to me a little bit, lol.

Hey Lisa! I've had a love hate realationship with the scale my entire life....Well not now. I just decided it wasn't going to control my progress. I chose my clothes and how they fit instead. Give it a try. Maybe try Hiding your scale away until your weigh in with Laura....see how it works for you. Either way, Good luck on your progress! ~Cheryl
