Good luck today Sista
Wow! Good to hear your appt went well. I wonder why everyone has to go to a psychologist now? Is it so we deal with the 'mental' and 'emotional' aspects of this journey (and how we'll look at food differently)? I've been seeing a clinical psych for a couple of months to help me with all the mental/emotional aspects of being overweight (self-esteem issues, why I overeat to begin with, etc) and to help me prepare for the surgery. I wonder, if I had a letter from her, if I'd be "exempt" from seeing one of their psychologists?
Anyways, I'm happy for you!!!! Can't wait to hear another update.
Cheers!

Kaos;
They probably would exempt you from seeing their psychologist if your wrote a letter to them on your behalf. The point of the visit is so that she can look for any undiagnosed mental illness that may make you a poor candidate for the surgery. She also talks about the mental/emotional aspects of the surgery and gives you guidelines on ways to cope.
Good luck!
