Its your lucky day girl!!!!! I am very excited for you. I gotta say the day came A LOT quicker than i thought it would, as they were only doing June referrals a few wks ago.

yayyy very exciting. hopefully they will be into Sept referrals soon also. cant wait to hear from you after your appt. Pls be sure to keep us posted.

Thanks Hayley, yes It was a good visit. There was a couple of surprises but most of the things I've heard here on the form. The pyschologist is a must for everyone now, one visit $150, and the dietician which I new. I will not be given a surgery date until I see both. I couldn't get a appointment to see the dietician till April 26th,

I saw Dr. Hardy
And I am ACCEPTED!!! I go to my doctor Monday for my pre op stuff. And then I wait.

any other surprises? Do you know if it is a problem if you have gained weight since referral date? I wonder what would constitue someone not being accepted.........hmmmmm Im sooo nervous. Too bad you have to wait so long to see the dietician. Oh well, one step closer girl.

I have gained weight since my referral which put me just over the recommended BMI, 5 pounds so she would like to see me lose some weight before I see the dietitian, start making changes, so my weight loss journey begins today!!!
I think not meeting the criteria and not following the pre op. stuff would mean no surgery.

thanx for the info Shan. This forum is such a valuable resource. It is so great to know that we have this forum to turn too with concerns and questions, and to have that reassurance knowing that we are not battling this fight alone.

Very happy for you that you are accepted!! mmm interesting that everyone has to see psychologist now. April 26th will come fast! What procedure did the doc recommend for you? thanks for letting us know about your apt!!
