that mean? I'm living on Meditrim and veggies and feel great! I am liking the shakes just fine and ate veggies like a pig yesterday. Made myself a spinach stir fry, it was deli****oday I'm going to have 1/2 a baked green pepper Stuffed with mashed cauliflower, mushrooms, spinach, tomato and spices. I'm loving this! Sorry, I hate to be to happy about this going so well for me. But it makes me wonder if I'm allergic or sensitive too some of the foods I had been eating before. The only thing that's different is I'm a bit more fatigued from the lack of calories. ~Cheryl

Cheryl;

I am thrilled for you!
I was miserable on the pre-op diet.

I am glad that you are tolerating the shakes so well.
That probably means that after surgery you will also tolerate protein shakes well.

Good for you!

I did great on the pre-op diet too. After the 3rd day anyways. I was also a bit tired but, I did just fine! I know I was allergic and sensitive to lots of the foods I was eating prior. I get some hives now when I eat the culprits!

Keep on keeping on Cheryl! I am happy it's going well for you!

I am happy for you that you are enjoying the MediTrim & veggies. I feel like I am going insane, I don't feel hungry, weak or tired, but I think it's more of a mental thing that's making me go a little mad. I am beginning to see my weight issues has always been more of a issue of how I think about food not what I am physically hungry for.

I haven't found any way to cook the veggies that appeals to me, but I may try what you posted (1/2 a baked green pepper Stuffed with mashed cauliflower, mushrooms, spinach, tomato and spices)

I have been able to keep working out without any adverse effects, mind you I cut it down to just 1/2 hr at the Y instead of the whole hour I was doing 2 weeks prior to starting the pre-op diet. I am not doing anything strenuous as my body wasn't used to any workouts at all to begin with, lol, I just use the treadmill & elliptical.

Anyhoo,

Lisa

Hey I've been wondering about you! Glad to hear it's going good for you too, aside from the insane part. I hear ya! I'm feeling all of those things you mentioned. Not hungry but the mental(habit) to eat is tremendous. Whats good about it is that it helps us to be aware of this weakness up the road after our surgery. I just make stir fries with my veggies using seasonings and garlic powder. I steamed my baby spinach greens last night for supper and added a lil vinegar mmmmmm, they were delish!. I'm starting to get tired and feel a lil weak too, but try to keep busy. I have a small wee nap in the afternoons 30 mins or so. I think I must be a lil grumpy cause my kids keep asking if I'm OK? hahaha! ~Cheryl

Glad your doing well. It only gets easier. Now that the surgery is done I still have craveings, but am just too afraid of pain to give into the. Hopefully I never will and if I do the portion size will just be a lot smaller so it will be ok.
