So tomorrow I have to go to the hospital to meet the surgeon and anathesioligist (not sure of spelling). Can any one tell me what to expect for tomorrow. I have never had a surgery so I have no clue what I am walking into.  Any insight would be wonderful.

Oh it is nothing to worry about at all.  They do a complete history.  Talk to you about sleep apnea, look in your mouth to assess your airway, they listen to lungs and heart.  Answer any questons you may have.  You may have to go get some blood work done for blood typing, if not done already.  Then you meet the pre-op nurse who goes over the paperwork and teaching.  Nothing to it!  Good luck!

Doesn't sound too bad.  Now what is with the sleep apnea. They keep asking me. I know I snore but I don't believe it wakes me up....but my kids say I snore load. Can you not have the surgery if you have sleep apnea?

Yes, you can have surgery if you have sleep apnea. They just take extra precautions with you and give you oxygen afterwards. Anyone with sleep apnea in Winnipeg, is put into a special room so that a nurse can monitor your breathing after surgery.
