Chewing gum!

I tried to chew gum today (to get rid of that nasty metallic taste in my mouth) and it was not pleasant.  I am so bloated and gassy.  I feel nauseated now.  Note to self, don't chew gum.

Sherry, can you drink tea? I find that peppermint tea helps my tummy when it gets upset and gassy. Not sure what it would do for the metallic taste which I know is nasty as I get that sometimes when I use a sleeping pill.

The metallic taste is from ketosis, the body burning fat.  This is common in high protein/low carb diets.  It is pretty yucky but I know it means I am losing weight.  I had a cup of peppermint tea and it has helped a bit.
Thanks for the suggestion.

I used Breathsavers sugar-free candy or Tic Tacs to get that taste out of my mouth.
Tea is probably much better for you though!

Ketosis?  I have that taste all the time, I though it was fillings in my teeth.

Thanks for the info!
