OK so I have found my new favorite snack and I need to know if it's available in Winnipeg and if not I am loading up!!

OK ready....it's Cocoa Roasted Almonds by Emerald!! Now I almost didn't try them because I thought that might be nasty....OMG was I wrong! I am in love...

They compared to the Dry Roasted Almonds fairly similiar except the sodium in the dry roasted was 230mg for a 1/4 cup serving and the Cocoa nuts were 25mg! Love that!

Take a stroll down the snack aisle in your local grocery store and you will notice a new trend in food packaging. Almost every snack you can think of is now available in 100 calorie portions. This isn't just brilliant marketing, it's also great for dieters who need a little help with portion control. This food is great for people who are watching their weight in a diet and exercise program.
One of my favorite 100 calorie foods is cocoa roasted almonds. Unfortunately, to buy them at the store can be very expensive. This recipe will show you how to make your own delicious and nutritious 100 calorie sweet and chololate flavored snacks and save a lot of money!

Difficulty: Easy

Pour onto a baking sheet, lined with parchment paper. Bake at 250 degrees for about 25 minutes, stirring every 7 or 8 minutes. Remove from oven and place roasted cocoa almonds on paper towels. Cool thoroughly, then place in little 100 calorie bags. Since each almond has about 7 calories, put 14 or 15 almonds in each bag.
