First day on pre-op

So I made it through the first day not problem. Was very busy so that helped with not wanting to eat because I was bored. However when I got home at 10pm I was really craving something....anything....so I chomped on a few veggies. Is it important to stick to the 2 cups of veggies and no more than that? Veggies are good for you. Anyway I really didn't even feel too hungry. The shakes are ok...would love to have some frozen fruit in there though. Its going to be a boring 2 weeks with food that is for sure. Starting to rethink whether the surgery is a good idea or not. Meeting with a friend on Friday who had the surgery in Mexico to chit chat so she can get me back on track. No headaches yet....drinking lots of water. Not feeling sick.....it was a good first day. Now off to tackle the second day.

Good for you Sue!
I was a basket case my first day.

I don't think it matters how many vegetables you eat, providing they are on the list we were given. (No starchy veggies of course.) Some days I had more than two cups, some days less.

Hang in there!

Well I am eating what is on the list but I sure could eat more than 2 cups.  2 in the morning for a snack...2 at night for supper...easy. Thanks. I will keep on going.

The first few days are hard but then it gets easier and easier. Next thing it will be 2 weeks and it will be over. You can do it!

Take it day by day Sue.  Be in the moment.  Don't look to far ahead because it can all be overwhelming.
Good Luck!  YOu can do it!
