Going home today.

Yeah I am so excited to be going home today.  As per Dr. Vergis's instructions, I have stayed in the city for 6 days post op, in case of complications.  I feel really good.  I am so sick of broth and my routine drinks... Boring.  I can't wait until I get home to whip up some amazing soups and other recipes.  I am a spice and flavour girl.  I can't wait.
Before going home I am stopping by Wally World to pick up new scales, that exercise things (Thanks Shannon!) and some moving on up food.
A big thanks to my friend who offered her home for my convalescence.  She has been great.  Thanks for all on this forum for support, guidance and humour!
We are fabulous!  LOL

Lucky you. That is exciting. Yes I am not sure where I will be staying as I am from out of town also and will need to stay somewhere. I have a friend in Wpg I am sure I can stay there. It will be a long week that is for sure. I would love to be able to go home much faster than 6 days....but I can handle it. Keep us posted on your journey and weight loss. It is very exciting. You are the first person since I have been reading to go in and come out of the surgery. Congrats.

Take care and see you soon! *hugs* ( we are fabulous aren't we?)

I am in my own bed catching up what I may have missed on the forum in 4 hours LOL. Isn't it addictive. I had cream of wheat for my supper and I LOVED it. I lost a few more lbs! So happy..

Glad to hear that you are home!

Did they give you any restrictions?  I was carrying in firewood the week after and then found out that that probably wasn't a wise thing.  My surgeon just said to do what I could tolerate.  Hmmmm!

Enjoy watching the scale move!

They gave me lots of restrictions.  Not to lift anything over 10 lbs, (told my hubby 5) so I am a princess for 3 weeks. LOL.  Yay I dare say carrying firewood would be a restriction.  Lucky you didn't get a hernia or leak..... Lots of dietary restrictions/advice.  Which I am really trying to adhere to.  I am a spicy girl and I am wanting to make a curry so bad.
You have done amazing Keith.  Wow that is a load of weight in a short period of time.  Good on ya!
