OK, guy and gals, What's the best flavor? I'm doing my own Lil survey here. If I have to drink these things for two weeks I don't want to be puking after every meal. So please let me know your favorite and I can go from there......

I had the vanilla one cause I heard the chocolate was nasty.  I didn't mind them.  I cannot tolerate any vanilla flavours now post op though. When do you start your pre-op?

Thanks!
Well I'm going to have to just mix them up I guess. I start my meditrim on March 7th. How are you doing? Hope all is going well post op....

I was thinking the exact same thing re: the shakes, I'm feeling pretty nervous about the 800 cal pre-op diet that I will have to start eventually....I've been given a tentative surgery date, i haven't had a call back since they gave me the date earlier this week, so maybe its not tentative after all? I guess I'll find out for sure this week.

Where is the best place to get them (MediTrim)? Directly from the pharmacy or on-line (was looking @ Minogue Medical Inc on-line)?

The only place in Winnipeg to get the Meditrim is at Tache Pharmacy.  It is about $187 for 2 weeks supply.  Is it cheaper online?

I'm going to get hold of my pharmacist and ask her to get me a price on them before driving all the way back into wpg to get them....

Hi,

Yes, I've found it cheaper online, I think I shall order from there after all! I've tried getting myself used to the protein shakes, I bought I big container from Costco & tried a scoop with cold black coffee...and it's tolerable so far, definately better than with jus****er; but I do enjoy the vanilla flavour with skim milk :)

I ordered mine online, it was cheaper!!  Plus Purolater delivered right to my door and I never had to drive all the way to TACHE.

If you order more the shipping is the same rate.  Go halfers/splits with someone and the price drops even more per box.

Most insurance companies do not cover the cost anyways, so you might as well get the best price.

Did you order your right through Meditrim Michelle? That's the site I went to today. Also did you get it by the box or did you buy the tub? There are some flavors that are pretty cheap too. Like 19.95 a box. Thanks

I prefered the chocolate shake because it had less flavour than the vanilla. I found the vanilla too perfumy. However, most people say that they perfer the vanilla. I am just not a fan of the artificial flavours, so the less flavour the better for me.

The peanut bars are ok, but you get sick of them. The chocolate fudge bars are awful. I couldn't get even one bite of them down.

In Winnipeg, you can only get them at Tache Pharmacy & they are expensive $34/box. So if you can get them cheaper online, so much the better.
