New to OH

Hello, I am new to OH and I have a question. I receivedl my letter in the beginning of December, saying I was approved for surgery. I was wondering how long the current wait is? I have to be back at work next September (I'm currently on Mat leave) and I was really hoping I'd be done by then.

You should come to the Meet and Greet today!!  It is a Chapters near Polo Park at 3pm.  In the Home Depot Area.

 hi Kaos, it looks like about now the wait is approximately 8 months from the time of your referral to get your consult with the surgeon, and then 6-8 wks from there for your date of surgery.  Hope that answers your question. Welcome to the forum

Once you are in the program and have your surgical consultation, you can push the date of the surgery back a bit to suit your own schedule. Unfortunately, there isn't anything you can do to speed it up.

Thanks for the responses. I spoke with Julie today...she seems very nice! She said that I'll get the call most likely between July and Oct (my referral was at the end of November). She also said that the doctors are hoping to do more surgeries and that it should go a bit faster soon.
