New to posting

Hello everyone.  This is my first time posting a note here although I have been reading through the comments for many months now. My surgery is booked for March 8 in Winnipeg. I am very nervous. I have never had a surgery before. I find it so helpful reading all your comments and success stories.

Hi, Glad you posted. I also took a while to post. Now it is the most natural thing to do. I've made some good friends here already. You're right. This is a great source of information. Looking forward to reading your future posts.

Congratulations on getting a surgery date!

The staff at the Victoria Hospital treat you really well, so don't ever be shy to buzz for a nurse if you need anything. You will be uncomfortable after surgery, but it passes. I was off pain killers within a week. I had the RNY and found I needed to take a full month off of work to recover. In fact, if I could have taken 1 extra week, I would have. 

If you have any questions, don't be shy to post them here. This is a wondeful forum. The people here are only interested in sharing and helping each other.
