UGH----Ulcer!
Well, my saga continues. After all my other problems....leak, pleural effusion, abcess, now I have an ulcer. I started having really bad stomach pains around Dec. 28 or 29th but of course the doc's office was closed over the holidays. Finally got in and saw Dr. Hardy. She sent me for a ct scan, nothing, then last week they sent me for a gastrocoscpy and told me i have an ulcer. So I started back on the Nexium and am starting to feel better now. This has been a crazy journey for me....my surgery was Oct 25 and I haven't been back to work yet! I planning to go back next week, but believe it or not my energy level is so low, even after all this time. I was doing alot of walking in Dec. but haven't done much since between the pain and the frigid weather. But, i am down about 50 lbs which is good.
Anyway, make sure you call the doc if you start having stomach pains!!

I had the RNY< and surprisingly...I don't regret having the surgery. I probably would have said differently in November when things were really rough. but I know i would still be overweight and struggling to lose weight w/o the surgery. I just had a string of bad luck, but Dr. Vergis and Dr. Hardy have been wonderful!

Oh Sue! How awful! What a journey you have been on.
I am glad to hear about the weight loss, I just wish for your sake it could have come without all the complications!
At least they know what the problem is now. I wish for your sake you could take another week off to get your energy up. I hope that it is all smooth sailing from here on.
