Hello my winterized friends!!!!!

Yes I am still alive and doing fine. I am really sorry I haven't been posting more but I promise I will try really hard.

I am really frustrated because.....i seriously walked my ass off....or I felt like it.....in Disneyworld and returned home to the scale hardly going down at all!!!! I must have walked 12 hours a day and......nothing, notta!!!!!! WTF???? If this is a stall....I hate stalls! I'm also worried that this is all I am going to lose, maybe I have been eating too much that isn't good for me. No I 'm not telling you what that is!

Help!

Hi Donalda;

Nice to have you back!
I feel for you. I was stalled for about two weeks and it drove me crazy! I don't have any answers, but it could be that with all that walking you did lost fat, but also gained some lean muscle?! You will get to your goal! Just think of the other people on this site who have made it. You will too!

Hang in there & soak up some sun for the rest of us. LOL!

Hello Beautiful Girl!

I feel your pain lady..... I really have to watch my intake right now. The first 50lbs came off no problem.... NOW..... I write down EVERYTHING. This really shows me that there is no "magic" pill or surgery that will solve all of our problems. I have never really watched what I ate since surgery. I didn't need to.. the weight just came off. I was in heaven. Now the rest is REALLY UP TO ME. It's funny when I start counting my calories, I was eating PLENTY!!! I actually need to stop my snacking during the day. It was killing me.
I have upped my water and am counting my intake. I hope that it will become second nature to me soon.

I can't wait to see you in two weeks... I am Soooooo excited.
Have a great day my lady and I will give you a call soon.

UGH! That sucks!!! I feel for you girl!

Go back to basics and track your intake..that's all I can offer you...I don't know anything else! Cut out some carbs and up the protein. Drink more than the 64 oz ? Go back to eating only lean protein for a few days and see what happens. YOU CAN DO THIS! ....and remember what I am telling you, so you can tell me later

*hugs*

Hello!

Thanks for the ideas, i guess I am going to start writing everything down. And Nikki you are so right the first 50 was so easy, the next twelve took a bit longer but still not too hard but I have probably added more carbs back in and although some are good carbs some aren't. Plus the wine is seriously soooo cheap here, their practically giving it to me...and I can't be rude! LOL!

I am so glad for my OH friends....your simply the best!!!

Donalda

P.S Nikki...I can't friggin wait either...sooooo excited!!!! Call me sometime next week and my company will have left and I will have had time to plan my trip. Take care my girl!

You, my Dear, are experiencing the ever-dreaded stall.  It will go away and no, this is not 'it' for you.  Trust me!!!
If you only knew how many times I felt that way, it would make your head spin.  Something to look forward too huh?
Make a very serious effort to record everything you put into your mouth, including beverages.  I always used the Livestrong.com website.  There is something on there called My Plate and it's excellent for keeping track of protein, sugar, calories, etc.
Do that for a couple of days, and take a look at your calories.  Include any physical exercise that you are doing and you might be surprised to learn that your calorie intake is too low!!
Whenever I stalled, I increased my calories and that seemed to jumpstart my weight loss again.
The body tends to hold onto the fat when it's 'starving'.  When you don't take in enough calories, your body goes into survival mode and hangs onto everything.  Especially if you're exercising.
Give that a try and let me know if it works for you.  Your head will be telling you that your crazy to increase your food intake, but your body will be thanking you by giving up some lbs.

Hey there - I have to say that I am in the same boat - except that I just had my surgery on Dec 6.  The first 50 lbs hasn't been easy - I have lost very very little since my surgery date.  I am taking in my water and protein (most days) and am still not loosing the weight.  I started zumba class once a week and still nothing.

I am second guessing my decision about having this surgery - even though this was my last resort with ITP and PCOS.

Sorry - I has to vent.  I`m sad and stressed.

Allison, I haven't had the surgery yet so I can't offer any advice, I just wanted to say I hope things get better for you. Hopefully things will change for you.

Allison, you are being very hard on yourself!  I know how it feels though (see post above).
But it's only been 6 - 7 weeks since you had surgery.  At 6 weeks I had lost a total of 33.5 lbs.  That's 5.5 lbs. per week!!!
If you can tell me on what diet you have ever lost that much weight that fast, then I will stand corrected.
My sister had the exact same surgery 2 weeks after me and didn't exercise until she was 1 year post op, and our weight loss remained 15 lb difference the whole time, and I exercised the entire time.

So stop beating yourself up!!!  You are doing absolutely fabulous.  Listen to your body, stop obsessing about the scale, walk and sip, sip, sip.
Weigh yourself once a week and take your measurements once a month and you will soon be amazed by the difference you will start to see and feel.

Just let it happen and don't look at what everyone else is doing.  Everyone loses at different times and at their own pace.

If you need support, please don't hesitate to ask me or anyone else here.

Take care, and you're doing great!!

Thanks everyone for the kind words of support.  That is exactly what I was doing - comparing my experiences to everyone elses that I've been reading about.  I will stop doing that and just live my own experience.  One day at a time!!

I will continue to drink my water and get my protein in.  I am going to continue going to the gym - I started with once a week and I will increase that slowly every week.

I don't own a scale and will not be getting one.  I am only going to weigh in with my Dr - that's the scale that I started with and that is the one I will continue to use.  I think it'll make my life easier - at least I hope so LOL.

Thanks again for the support - I will ask when I need help - I promise!!!
