A Question for the Post-Ops

Did your back hurt while on the liquid diet?  I am having pain in my kidney area on the right side.

I kinda hurt all over while on the pre-op diet and for the first couple of weeks post-op too. I was VERY worried about kidney stones so I drank a ton of water in pre-op. rank as much as possible post-op too..are you getting enough water in?

It could be a detox effect..I hope you feel better and that someone has a better answer than I do.

I am going to up my water intake and chew on ice chips to see if that helps.

Oh yes did I ever, it was the 3rd or 4th day I think. I even phoned the office because I had a kidney operation when I was young and am on blood pressure pills to take the pressure off my kidneys. They never called back but the pain went away in a day or two. But then the pain in my right arm and then I had pain in my left arm, everything ached. I think they actually call it the Atkins flu, you can google it.

I had a little back pain and then odd pains in my arms.
It was as if I was getting charlie-horse pain off and on.
I can't remember how long it lasted, but I never had them after surgery.
