Hi everyone sorry I hadn't posted anything before now but I was really busy resting and preparing for the holidays.

My surgery went really well it seemed like I was in and out in no time. They wheeled me off to surgery at about 7:45 Monday morning, the hospital called my husband at around 8:30 to tell him everything went well and I woke up in recovery around 9:00 or 9:30.
My throat was just raw from the breathing tube and I sounded like marge Simpson's sister the one that smokes a lot LOL and I was a little groggy too.
The nurse was nice I was the only one in the OSA room for a better part of the day so she moved her desk right beside my bed talk about service HA HA .
I was able to sip water right away and then she introduced the protein drinks by the end of the day I was doing well and had gone to the washroom a few times and even brushed my teeth that felt good.
 The rest of my stay was pretty uneventful I was moved into a room the next day and they discharged me first thing wed morning.
I think the hardest part about the whole stay was trying to figure out what to put the crushed t3s into I tried warm water and that made me nauseated next they gave it to me in jello that was gross and apple sauce didn't work either so I finally put it in my protein drink and that was the best way for me.
 The ride home was a little bumpy but I survived once home I rested up for the rest of the day and Thursday because Friday we had a house full of people .We had such a nice evening.
I'm still finding it hard to get more than one to two protein drinks down and not very much water at all but I'll keep working at it.
I helped my husband with the Christmas dinner and had my sister over so it was a nice quiet Christmas day with my three kid's my dad and husband . I sat at the table with my protein drink and just enjoyed the company well everyone ate it was a little hard but I know it will be better next year.
Today I think I will venture out for a bit and see how that goes. Wish me luck .

YAY! Congrats! I am so thrilled to hear it went SOOOO awesome for you. I think I may be a bit jealous..LOL Thank goodness we are both on the other side though. I had a tough time figuring out what to put my meds in too. I used pudding and yogurt. I couldn't drink enough at all when I came home to use protein shakes.

Look out new year..here she comes!!..

Hi Susan;
I am glad that everything went so well for you.
I put my meds in apple juice to get them down. It masked some of the bitterness, but not all of it.
I never thought to put then in a protein drink. That makes sense.
Your surgery was so close to Christmas that I am amazed you felt up to having the whole family over. Way to go! I was a wimp in bed for a whole week. LOL!
Take Care,
Tanya
