Merry Christmas & update
First of all I want to wish everyone a Merry Christmas!!!!
It's been a long haul for me the last few months but i think things are finally on the upswing. I had my surg. oct 25, then surg again for leak oct 29th. Spend almost 3 weeks at the Vic. Also had pneumonia after first surgery. Had a real hard time tolerating any food for the first few weeks and had zero appetite. Then started feeling better but short of breath when i went for a walk...and sore upper back. Saw Dr. Hardy 3 weeks ago and ended up i had fluid on my left lung. Was admitted to hospital, St. B., where they drained 1.2litres of fluid, which wasn't even all of it as they didn't want to collapse the lung. Saw the doc last week and still have fluid but it has gone down a bit, which is a good sign.
Anyway, I'm eating well now and tolerating almost everything. Have over ate a couple of times...not a good feeling ....and i'm down 35 lbs.
Bye for now,
sue b
