Back home and loving it!!
Good afternoon Manitoba!!
Surgery on December 6 went really well. I was up and walking that same day - yay for me. The worst part of the experience was the nose tube. I was ready to rip someone's face off and I am not a violent person!! Once the tube came out I was fine. I haven't had any pain killers since I left the hospital but I have them just in case. I get tired a little more quickly but other then that I've been feeling wonderfully.
For anyone who is travelling to another province for their procedures I really would recommend you have a family member or friend join you upon your release from the hospital. I had to stay in Alberta for 4 days after being released from the hospital. That was horrible - I so missed my family and the extra assistance would have been great. Don't be brave - bring family!!
My sister picked me up from the airport and I went to her place for a few days. It was nice to be there and have the help - not even help - just someone asking if I was ok. The concern of my family and friends has been incredible - I love them so much.
I arrived at my home today. My puppies were very happy to see me as were my youngest daughter and my husband. Tonight we are going to my office to attend a Cheer Board Benefit Concert. I am looking forward to getting back into a routine. I miss working and spending time with my work family.
I've been eating soups-mashed potatoes-yogurt. Drinking a lot of green tea and water. I miss chewing!!! I've been drinking double milk to get my protein in. That will be a work in progress.
Thank you to everyone for their well wishes and support. I really appreciate it!!
