Not a good day. one of the worst of my life to watch hubby go through this.  I was hoping for the happy, wow this is over and now on with life but we got the other end of the spectrum.  We are in Las Vegas with Dr. Umbach.  Great guy and great facility.  Keith had a rough day with more pain than he or the drugs could handle and nausea and spasms that were horrible to watch.  We are now back at the hotel 12 hours later and things are better with him sleeping and is more coherent when he is awake.  Doubt I will sleep tonight.  will update you tomorrow with I hope better news and progress

HI Colleen,
I am sorry your hubby is in such pain. Tell him and youself that it WILL only get better. I promise. The first couple of days are super tough but everything will get better.
I triesd to accept you as a friend but I think that your profile is marked as private and I couldn't get in to accept you . I will keep trying.
Please keep us updated and say HI to Keith for us.

Hi Colleen;

The first day is the worst. After that, there will be significant improvement in terms of comfort.
After 2 days, I no longer needed the "good stuff".
I am 6 days out and am only taking a half a T3 a few times a day.

I wish your hubby a speedy & comfortable recovery.

You guys are great!  Thank you for the encouragement and support!  I was so sexhausted and upset last night that I was not very coherent myself.

We had an OK night with a bit of sleep 3 hours or so at a time and we kept up the meds every 4 hours so pain was better from the 10 outof 10 to now a seven.  Whew!  I feel better and not so upset.  He is a good patient and walks when asked, drinks water and couchs on request.  we even left the hotel room and walked outside to breathe the sweetest smelling air!
Then we sat out by the outdoor pool in the sun for about half hour!  It was great!

I hope we are out of the woods and this is all a bad dream over.

Thanks for listening and your support!!!  I fixed my profile to public... did not realise it blocked friend requests!  Ready to recieve.  LOL!

Hope you all are doing well!  Colleen

Happy to hear Keith's pain is decreasing!
I am envious that he is getting it done and over with and does not have to be on this waiting list here in Manitoba!
Hope he keeps getting better quickly. Thanks for keeping us posted! I was wondering how he was doing there in Las Vegas!

Soooo sorry it went a bit bumpy for your hubby. I know how that feels, first hand. I can also tell you that it does get better day by day. I am 2 weeks out now after having had 2 surgeries and I am feeling pretty good! A bit slow since I needed a blood transfusion, but I know I will get back to 100% eventually. So will your hubby!!

Just so you all know..I HATE you people who had it "easy" LOL..JERKS...

Healing prayers for you and your hubby!
