Today is December 19. I am back home in Winnipeg, sitting in my favorite chair watching my pvr'd shows. This has already been an incredible journey. Spending time alone after my surgery really made me appreciate my family and friends and I missed them terribly. Remember to lean on your family and friends for support. They may not understand why you are taking this step but they love you and want the best for you.
So, remember to lean on your family and friends - a smile goes a long way to comfort you. Take one moment at a time, because really, that's all we have. For this moment, I am not eating the chips that have been staring at me since I returned home!! LOL. I am drinking cold green tea and just enjoyed a delicious chocolate flavored Carnation Instant Breakfast.
Tomorrow my husband drives me to my Dr so I can get weighed and get the staples out. I had an open RNY and have 40 staples in my stomach. I am looking forward to have that over and done with as well. Maybe tomorrow I will take a pain killer - I haven't taken any yet LOL.
Enjoy your day!!!
