Alright girls and Keith!! I'm back!!...just so you can stop worrying, I didn't actually have a leak. I had a bleeder that just wouldn't quit. So back into the OR I went Tuesday AM..They over sewed my tummy and I am doing great now. I needed a blood transfusion and need iron supplements for a month..4 bottles at 70$ a pop

I got out yesterday and wow was that an adventure I don't want to repeat again! I was meant to get out at 11am. Dr. Hardy came to see me and signed my papers early in the AM. WHOOOOOHOOOOO! Freedom..or so I thought! UGH! TWO nurses, yes TWO nurses could not get my freaking drain out!! It was stuck half in and half out..LOL BOY THAT SUUUUUUUUCKED! It pinched a nerve in my back and my mood was suffering. I was getting very depressed!  At least I had a great British roomy who chatted with me and was very sweet! I had to wait for either. A: a surgeon to come in between surgeries to yank it or B: wait for Dr. Hardy to finish at the clinic and come back..OMG WTF?? Finally some random guy came in, yanked it and left the room before I got a look at his face..LMAO! He was like a prince in a green surgery cap. I did manage to see that..LOL WOW all the pain dissipated and I took some Tylenol for the drive home. Hubby was on his way. YAY!

So now in light of what has happened, I will have to come clean and tell my friends and family. I will need help and feel kind of strongly that I should tell them. We are very close to our church community and I think with a carefully worded mass email we can broach the topic tastefully..I HOPE! I still didn't tell my mom and dad though..if they come for Christmas..I will tell them then. Hopefully they don't freak out too badly..LOL WOW am I an evil only child!

I am very thankful I had the chance to have this surgery, to be part of the pilot program here in Manitoba. Our doctors are VERY committed to doing a great job and becoming a centre of EXCELLENCE!! So I want to say thank you SO much to Dr. Vergis, Dr. Hardy, Dr. Andrew and Dr. Bracken for working so hard to provide this for all of us. They can not wait to open up the criteria and really get going. The plan is to do HUNDREDS of WLS surgeries a year. So keep telling your doctors, keep asking your doctors..bug the **** outta them. Share your experiences!! This will do us ALL good!

pardon me now..I'm going to go crush some pills, mix them in my pudding and go back to bed..*yawn*

Hey there,
Nice to see you back , I'm really glad you are doing well and not so glad that you had a bit of a hard time BUT that's behind you now.
I think once you tell your parents they will get over it quickly,  they will realize you will have a healthier / longer life.
I am kinda sorry that I told my dad ,  because I got the negative attitude from him . Of course I had no choice but to tell him because he lives with us and I think he would notice me missing for a few days  LOL . I understand how he feels I'm his daughter and he just worrys about the whole surgery thing.   Well I'm off to bake some christmas cookies with my daughter That I won't be able to have as of monday when I start my meditrim. Ha thats a small price to pay for my health. Anyway keep crushing those pills and get better real quick.Ha Ha I love these smiley faces.

Glad that you are ok.
It must be so nice to be in your own bed again.
The drain sounds like a nightmare - but it is over now!
Relax and be good to yourself.

Thanks people!!

Nikki, no stress..I'm  betting I didn't make one stitch of sense while riding the morphine train..LMAO! All I remember is seeing a beautiful woman come in my room, hand me some magazines and I realised it was you! Made my day to have you visit!

I'm pretty wiped out and am sleeping alot...so I'm going to take it easy. Thankfully I don't have a job outside of home to get back to. The house mess will keep..LOL
