Getting my VSG tomorrow a.m

OK so here we are..last few hours before I get my surgery done.  I am happy, mellow and excited all at the same time..is that even possible? I have my bag packed. Bringing the minimum of stuff. I am wondering how out of it I will be, will I be able to watch TV at all?..Almost no one knows of my surgery, so unless some of you OH'ers come and see me it will only be my hubby and 4 kids. I am really hoping I get the heck out of there nice and quick. Hubby bet's they will send me home on Wednesday..LOL I hope he's right. If he isn't I get a foot rub. So either way I win! Home or foot rub...not too bad!!

I want to thank you all for being so candid with your experiences and for answering questions that are asked.  makes it much easier to have an idea of what to expect that way. Now that I have seen the hospital, I have an even better picture.

I sure am hoping I get the hot anesthesiologist Bren got..that would be nice..LOL Hopefully someone will post an update for me.

....going to scrub toilets..might be awhile before they are as clean as I like them!

Well good luck with your surgery and a speedy recovery. It seems we are having alot of the same thoughts, the only difference is I dont go for a three more weeks. I have'nt told to many people about the surgery for the same reason, I don't want a whole lot of negativity either. And besides what they think doesnt matter we are doing this for ourselves so we can enjoy the rest of our healthier lives.

Thanks so much Susan! I agree that we aren't doing this for anyone else...it's kind of amazing to me actually. I am actually doing something for me..whoa!! LOL What a concept!

Oh my girl I am so happy and excited for you to finally start this part, the real beginning of this incredible journey!

Before you know it we will be asking your questions about what to eat, if I can eat and when should I do this, and if this is normal! But as before we will always be there for youcause that's what friends do!!

If you want you can have your husband call me and I can post an update but otherwise I will try and get up to see you on Wednesday, really try!

I am very excited and SO thankful I got to meet so many of the ladies on the board. You have been truly amazing for me girl!! I am thrilled to be on the same journey with you..albeit a bit later LOL

Hurray you made it through the 2 weeks of pre op, I have been thinking of you, and you will be in my thoughts this week. You sound more than ready. I'm excited for you, and will be looking for that update!! Don't forget to take pics.

Yep! I survived the 2 weeks. Really wasn't that bad. Just kinda messed with my head when something smelled really good! I guess that will still happen after surgery too..LOL

I got the dreaded pics taken..not my finest moment let me tell you! However I am glad I did them. :)

I cant' believe your time is finially here... Dean is right in no time you will be posting about all out your weight loss and how amazing you feel.
You will be in my thoughts and prayers my lady...

I will pop by to see you on Tuesday eve. around 5ish. I can't wait to see you and see how wonderful you will be doing. If your tummy is sore make sure to hold on to your pillow. Enjoy your last shake for a few days...

I am very excited!! In 12 hrs I will be already showered, getting the kids ready to go to school and sending my baby girl to my sis in laws. I am very much looking forward to the next part of this journey. I know it might not be easy, but yes I am ready!!

 omg, i am sooo excited for you. Your turn is FINALLY here. This will be life changing. I am the same way as you in that i have only told very few people about my surgery. anyway, i will try to come see you tomorrow with my bff nikki b. anyway, you take good care and be sure to keep us posted. take care girl
