Bad news

Well it's almost been three months and the hair is starting to come out.... Ahhhhhh.
It's not as bad as my poor hubby though. I still take my silica every morning. I was chatting with other post-op people and they say that at 3 months the hair starts to come out. I have only lost a little but my hubby (who doesn't take silica) has lost quite a bit. We had our surgeries one day apart and eat pretty much the same. I probably eat more than him..lol..

So for all you pre-op and ladies on the wait list... don't wait to lond to start taking something. Whatever you want, some take biotin and others use certain shampoos. What ever you decide to take start taking it PRIOR to surgery. It will give your locks a fighting chance.

Thanks for tip my hair is thin to begin with so Im gonna start to take something now.

OUCH! that rots!! I have lots of hair and have been down this road before, so I am not too stressed. I am more worried about taking something for hair growth that will make my chin hair grow too.. NO THANKS!

I don't know if you are interested, but i read about a product called Toppik that a couple of bariatric post surg people have used for hair loss.

Hopefully you won' t need it, the good thing is it will come back. I am sure it is worth some hair loss to get your life back!

I am on waiting list for surgery and can't wait to begin the journey.

I had a feeling about hair loss, my hair is fine and thin, so I am going to the drug store this week and get something. Thanks for the heads up!

Thanks for the tip!  I also heard Biotin was good with silica?  Have you heard that?  My hubby is having his sleeve next week and we are in prep mode.
