My surgery date is set.

I spoke to julie this morning and my surgery date is set for december 20th. AM I CRAZY ? five days before christmas. I will have to accomplish a lot in a short time. Things have moved so quickly since I saw Dr Hardy on Nov 2nd. Now I'm nervous, excited and a little scared but my husband is very supportive and I know he'll be there every step of the way , it also helps to have such a great support system like this forum and all of you who are going through the same thing or have gone through it. I have been following a lot of you through all your ups and downs and now I feel like I know some of what I will have to deal with. I understand that being on the meditrim isn't all that great but I'm hopeing to be so busy that I won't have time to think about it.

WOW congrats, you finally have a date. No more wondering and waiting. I am very excited for you. pls be sure to keep us posted on your journey, we are all in this together

Yes, things will move quickly..set your mind into high  gear, and you will be fine! ..ALtho, I have not gone thru anything yet..I am a great believer in fate...You can handle this. :-)

JUST DO IT!!

I wasn't expecting my date to be set up until the new year. When they called I knew it was right. Look at it this way, it's ONE of many Christmases that you won't stuff yourself silly.(if you're like me) You get to start the new year off on the right foot!

As for the liquid diet, I am not on the Meditrim, but I am on Boost Diabetic. It's really fine. After the the first 2 days I was fine. I was only mildly cranky at dinner time.( I have 4 kids plus a hubby to deal with ) and this week I even made dinner a few times for them. I know this is a transitional time. I honestly didn't sleep the whole first week after I got my date! That wore off and now I sleep and..POOF I have 5 more sleeps til my surgery! 16 more shakes to drink since I get 4 a day, and 8 more cups of veggies!..wait, I get one more shake tonight!

I wasn't sure when all the girls told me the time flew by waiting..but they are right!!
