Hi Sue,
I am two and a half months out and had the VSG done. i feel great but still need to watch my portion sizes and the speed at which I eat.
Let's see... Yesterday,
B= coffee with milk, 20 min. later eggwhites with chredded cheese
snack= pepperoni stick
L= cottage cheese heated up with pasta sauce about 1/2-3/4 pf a cup
snack= cup of jello
S=chicken breast roasted with mexican spices on it and some veggies
I had lots of H2O and three Diet ice teas
I take one tablespoon os silica gel per day
and two chewable multi-vit a day

I have pretty good restriction but I tend to eat a little too fast or a little too much. When this happens I feel all dizzy and quite gross.
I used to love to cook, but since my surgery, I have lost my drive... My hubby also had the surgery done so he eats what I eat and my 5 year old has a really tiny tummy.

Take care
Nikki

Scrambled Eggs with cheese
Tuna(flaked and packed in water)1/2 can with cottage cheese
BBQ 1/4 Chicken Breast with greek dressing
Groundbeef with spaggetti sauce(no pasta)
Greek yougurt
Canned Peaches, pears
Puree Carrots, brussel sprouts, spinach with margarine
Pretzels and Ranch Dipp
Cheese string (1)
Gatorade G2 (I usually drink at least 2 of the 591ml per day)
Neste Citrus Tea( Warm in the morning as Tea, cold during the day)
Tried mini Halloween candy chocolate bar.  Perfect size!!
I chew gum all the time!!

Tonight I had 1 turkey sausage, 1/2 scrambled egg, 3 tbspn hasbrowns!!  I ate way to fast, and had to stand up at the table and wait for the food to go down.

It does get easier with each week.

I am just over 4 weeks out from having the sleeve.  I did not try chicken until this week and I can eat about 2 tbsp.cooked chicken breast but still find it very heavy going down and not too keen on how it feels after I eat i.  I feel best right now when i stick to the list of foods below.

Except for a couple of days where I felt like eating and had to be conscious of how much (never more than 1/2 cup at a time), most days I cannot eat more than a couple tbsp. at a time.  I normally eat one of these things every couple of hours and when I can do this, I feel better throughout the day and evening, rather than eating 3 meals a day.  This is what works for me:

1/3 c. fibre one cereal with 1% milk
sugar free, fat free yogurt or pudding cups (takes about 20 minutes for a serving)
Costco Premier protein drink (at least one a day, on days where i don't feel like eating, I drink 2)
1 tsp natural peanut butter
2 tbsp cottage cheese on 2 whole wheat crackers, with pasta sauce and cheese melted in oven
tomato soup with greek yogurt and paremsan cheese - 1/2 mug at a time
baked yam with a drop of pasta sauce and paremsan cheese
And my favorite....fat free turkey or chicken breast slice wrapped around a light laughing cow wedge...
coffee started in week 3 - YUM
ground turkey - sauteed tiny patties, ate 1oz. at a time, went down fine!

It is good to test your limits, I have been way too full on 2 occasions and have had times where I have to stand and breath and wait for the food to go down, can be painful. I won't do it again!
I never ever touch bread, food with white flour and white sugar and rice or pasta as it expands in the stomach.  Also I never drink up to 2 hours after eating and 30 minutes before.  Lots of rules but they all work. Just take one day at a time, we all make mistakes, it is trial and error.  Good luck!
