OK I am on the second stage, pureed foods and although I am enjoying the tuna I really don't want to hate it!!!! If you know what I mean! I am having trouble drinking any protein, it is freaking nasty!!! So I am trying to eat things high in  protein, like tuna, with mayo and greek yogurt, flavoured yogurt, cup of soup with plain greek yogurt, and chcken, beef. All these things are purreed. Is there anything I could try that doesn't really need to be pureed or is this one of those things that I am just going to have to suck up and turn on the blender for the next couple of weeks. I know that it is just a stage and in a couple of weeks I can move on to soft, minced foods that don't have to be pureed.

But I would appreciate any ideas you have to help with this stage...

Hmm let's see... When I was of mushy foods, I ate plenty of cottage cheese. Are you on mushy yet? or do you still need pureed. I also got lots of Gardennay soups they are made by Campbells. The ready made oned in the carton. I loved the carrot one or the squash one. The are smooth and super yummy. I could only eat a few spoons at a time but it was really tasty. I still eat them when I want a snack.
Also I bought LOTS of tomato cup a soup. There are little croutons in the soup but just take them out. It was reall handy to have them and there was no waste.
have a great day

Even though I have not even had the surgery yet and am likely not the best person to answer this but what about baby food meats? I don't know how tastey they would be or if we could even have them but it is an idea.

The NUT gave me a name for a protein powder additive. It's calle Resource Beneprotein. You can add it too warm stuff! Try adding that to soups? I got it at Tache pharmacy. One scoop is 6 grams protein.

Good Luck!!!

Hey Sue!
I had Campbell's cup of soup, they have cream of mushroom, cream of chicken and tomato vegetable. It was good and nice and warm on my tummy. I also added a teaspoon or so of plain greek yogurt to it and it made it creamier plus gave me some protein. I think my first meat was chicken that I had cooked in the slow cooker with cream cheese and salsa. I used to cook that all the time it is so good. So I just took a small piece pureed it and added some chicken broth. It was pretty good! Lately I have been having alot of pureed tuna with some mayo and some greek yogurt added to it.

I would start out with some soup...it's good and warm on the tummy!

I am also afraid too! I think that's normal and especially for you. But just take it slow and start with some cream soup. I think you'll enjoy that!

I really can't wait till I can eat without putting it in a blender or mixer. But I am taking it slow,
