Has anyone heard of someone finally going to their consult with the Dr (surgeon) and THEN being denied for some reason?? Im wondering if there are any instant rule outs, or anything that may delay the surgery. I have gained about 15 lbs since my referral, i am kinda scared that he may ask me to get back to that weight before my sx. my BMI is still within range (37) But i cant help but worry about these things

Morning Hayley!

I really believe that once your in...your in! I don't think they want to deny anyone, They have put the criteria on the referrals so that they don't have to waste time denying anyone. They are only getting the ones that they want already.

Don't worry I honestly believe your OK!!! Not everyone might agree but I think majority will!!

When I went to see Dr. Bracken I told him I had gained weight since my referral and he said it was fine, they did not even weigh me, they went by the weight on the day my GP referred me.   I totally agree with Dean, once you are on the list for the appt., you're in.  No worries....
Good luck!
