I am now on the second boxes of meditrim officially on my second week of the pre-op diet. I guess this means that I am now on the count down instead of the count up!!! So far I have lost 12 pounds...Some days are better than others. I had really bad head aches for the first 4 days and today (day # 8) I am having a repeat. I also suffered with body aches which luckily have not returned yet. I discovered that drinking alot of water seemed to help with it.
I have been pretty hungry  for the past few days. I think the problem is that I have not really been planning my meals  I have just been eating the veggies I have around. So I have decided for the next few days I am going to pre-pare my food.(with lots of seasonings)
I have been reading WLS for dummies every night and i must say it's a Great book!!! the information is very relevant to all surgery types I would recommend it to everyone.
I feel like this is all moving so fast am I am trying to play catch-up. I must say that I am getting excited about my new life afterwords and scared about the process of getting there!

6 more days on Meditrim!!!!

You're almost there!!! I am super excited for you!!! I am starting to wonder what the heck I'm gonna eat while on the shakes. It looks like I won't be able to take the medi trim shakes because of an allergy to soybean oil. Wonder what Laura will put me on..will find out Wednesday.

I say the faster it goes that better it is..for me that is perfect. I am a thinker/worrier. If i have too much time..oy vey..what a nightmare..LOL

I have 3 weeks til my surgery!! Wish I was at the same place as you..ALMOST DONE!!!

Might have to hit Chapters and pick up some books. :) Good idea!

Way to go Bren!!!

You know you can do it and it will be so worth it! It is really hard to plan when the only thing your eating is vegetables!!! LOL!

I am curious as to what kind of vegetables you are able to have and how much you are allowed in a day. As I said before I haven't been to see the nutritionist yet but I am one of those people who likes to be overly prepared.  I was also wondering how long after you saw the nutritionist did you have to start on the meditrim. LOL  I am full of questions and very impatient.  Susan K

Hi! this is some information for you hope it helps. You are allowed 2 cups of veggies each day. No canned veggies, no peas, no carrots, no potatoes/yams, no corn, no beets, no additives like butter, dressing sugar or fats!! sounds great already.
You can have sugar free items that are under 5 calories..which is so wonderful but of course you still have to watch how much you consume.
The best part for me was that i could still have coffee(which I mixed with the chocolate meditrim) I really must say that my favorite part of my day was when i was able to eat the meditrim bar. I think that this is what saved me each day. The bar comes in 2 flavors and i must say that I really liked the peanut butter.

If you have any other questions feel free to ask!!!
