You are right the liquid tylenol  is super expensive and not really worht it. I was taking pills three days post-op. ( Since I was done in Mexico, I was kind of left to fend for myself)

Hi, when I had my surgery, the Dr perscribed liquid tyleon with Codine,  It was awsome, but I only used it for the first few days.  The bottle says $60.00, but it is a huge bottle.  Ask your Dr to right out a small perscription.  And you are right, you can't take advil after the surgery.  I am 1 1/2 years post op and my surgeon still doesn't want me to take it.  Advil could cause ulcers.

 Dean, I have been keeping updated by your posts.(along with what others are going thru and been thru).I appreciate very much your honesty in the good and bad of it so far.

I go to my GP tomorrow to see if he will refer me to St B. I am nervous and scared incase he says "no"..I have been keeping updated about the details of the VGS so he can see I do know what is expected.

Anyways..I thank you for your info..and all the best in a speedy recovery for a healthy new you!
