Hey Ladies,

I would like to start a meet and greet for us to share ideas, receipts, stories or whatever.

When should we meet ?  DAY or NIGHT

What day of the week? WEEKDAY or WEEKEND

Where should we meet?

Post your comments AND IDEAS for locations.

Hey Michelle!
I was chatting with Deb today and I told her I was hoping we would do something like this! Kudos for taking the initiative and getting the ball rolling!!

I am a stay home mom so days are fine for me until 3pm. Evenings are great, Fridays are a bit tough, but doable with some warning. So really any day works for me..

Where?....hmmm not sure. Some of us, like you and Dean are farther away, I'm just a ways south of the city(15-20mins). Maybe once we know where everyone is we can think of a central place? Like somewhere that has no food (if I'm still pre-op) LOL

Great idea Michelle!  We so need a 'support' group where we can share our experiences.
I'm in!
I am in southwest winnipeg but can be virtually anywhere.  Evenings are better for me.  Ideas for location anyone?

I'm in for a meet and greet! I live in St. James area, work days M-F. Weekends and week nights are ok for me, I can work around my kids activities. As for the where to meet?? Have to think about that.

Count me in.  I work days Mon - Fri and go to school Tues & Thurs.  A week-end day or evening would be better for me.

I live in North Kildonan, but can travel anywhere.

Please let me know if you decide on a time and place.

Thanks
Lori

Hello ladies, I think that this is awesome that you're trying to set up a group.  I know that I'd certainly feel better to be able to talk to people who are going through similar situations.
Personally, evenings during the week would work out best, but I'm also open to weekends (but not during the summer).
Location is tough since everything seems to be associated with food.
How about a public library? They all have 'classrooms' and can be reserved, I believe.
Just a thought! ~A.

Hello,
It would be nice to join in the group as well.    There was a few of us who tried to meet in a Smitty's restaurant once as the room was big enough to accomodate about 10 people.  People can just order a beverage.   I live in St. Vital but can drive, evenings are good for me (Tues, Wed are the best).

I know there is a Smitty's near St Vital mall on Meadowood.  Canad Inn's might also be a good place as well.

I am thinking Polo Park Area might be the best area so far.  Anyone else think so?
