I start the Pre-op On Monday! I Need Help!!!!!!
Please anyone and everyone! I need suggestions for food (Sorry I mean veggie's and mushrooms) I am so scared of opening the cuboard seeing chips and cookies and eating the whole box just because( this is why I will have nothing of tempation here!) If I can make the best out of what is allowed then I will have a better chance of sucess!!
Thank-You
Bren!!
Mushrooms on the BBQ with nofat greek/italian salad dressing, I removed the stem and cooked it upside down with the dressing in the hole.
Tomatoes(whole) on the BBQ cut in half, cook skin side down.
Brusssel Sprouts with Herbamare seasoning on them.
Cucumbers in vinegar and sea salt. (This was my salt and vinegar chips subsitute).
Spagetti Squash with crushed tomatoes and seasoning. (Country-girl eat this)
I also eat the walmart brand protein bars with a coke zero.!!!!
Hope that helps,
Michelle
I don't know what I would have done without the tomatoes and cucumbers cut up with vinegar and seasonings....they saved my life! But I love cucumbers and am a fan of sour!!! Yes much like S&V chips!!!I also enjoyed mushrooms and zucchini with some onions done in a fry pan with Pam and seasonings. And Mishyme was right the Herbamare seasoning is pretty good, but don't get the diet. I got that one too and I don't know if it was the steamed broccoli and cauliflower that day but I seriously almost lost my 2 cups!!! I did do the spaghetti squash with the tomatoes. I sauteed chopped tomatoes with some onion, garlic, seasoning and a bit of vinegar and a bit of Splenda and put that over top of the squash. I really did feel like I was having a meal with my family when I ate that! I would eat a lot of grape tomatoes and would carry them and those little mini english cucs around.
And seriously Bren, it's hard...but it's doable, Take each day, and don't worry too much about how many more days you have. Near the end that was more on my mind...5 more days....4 more days...and maybe that is why I had a harder time these last couple of days. But you have to remember it's not about the journey it's about the destination...and you will be able to eat almost anything after but you will just have an amazing tool to help you control how much of it you eat!
Good luck and you CAN do it!

Sf jello
LOTS AND LOTS of water
I made tomato sauce every day...
Saute onions, garlic then add chopped tomatoes, 1/4c. low sodium ff broth, splenda and splash of vinegar and salt free italian seasoning. Cover with water, lid and cook for over an hour. It gets sweet and rich tasting.
Use it on cooked spahetti squash and bake. I did this every night for first week, it was like a meal.
By the second week, it was much easier, never felt like eating, too apprehensive about the surgery and your body is used to it. The first week is way harder than the second. Found the last few days super easy.
You can do it. I always say if I can, anyone can!!! It is soooo worth it! Post surgery I am never hungry, does it get any better?
Good luck!
