MediTrim

Hi;
I have just received my surgery date and I am very nervous and excited.
I have my prescription for MediTrim.

I am not sure if I should buy half chocolate & half vanilla. Does anyone have a preference?
Are they both awful or is one more palatable than the other?

Hi fedwal, can you recall when your referral was sent to the bariatric clinic? I am trying to keep track of where they are on the waiting list. the last person i heard of was referred mid march, and her surgery is mid Nov. My referral was not sent in until mid Sept so i still have a long wait. As for the meditrim, sorry i cant help you, as i am nowhere near pre-op yet.

My referral was end of July, Julie said I should get a call January. It will come fast, hope this helps

wow, that came along a lot quicker than you had expected. as will mine i hope. Julie said i should get a call around march. just have to wait and see. anyway, thx for the info. you have given me some hope in that maybe i wont have to wait an ETERNITY......LOLthx Shan

The bars are good, the peanut bar is the best but you can only have one a day.  Do it!
As for the shakes, the chocolate is awful awful (IMHO) and the vanilla is slightly better, mixed with strawberry crystal lite.  I returned my unopened box of choc. and got vanilla instead.  Good luck!

I start my pre-op on Monday ...Can't wait hahah Not sure what they taste like all I know is i got 2 of each shakes and one of each bars. I think. When are you going for your surgery? What are you going for??

Congrats on the surgery date? When is it?

As for the meditrim...they both suck!! LOL! It's not so much they are that bad, it's just that you get sick of them. I apparently am the only one who actually enjoyed the chocolate one more, the vanilla seemed to sweet and creamy-like. I would mix the chocolate ones in a magic bullet with about 3-4 ice cubes and it's honestly wasn't that bad. Sometimes I would mix in a bit of SF raspberry syrup(i hate that word) that I bought at Target and apparently you can get them at Starbucks, in with the vanilla, and sometimes I mixed the caramel kind in with the chocolate.

I am on the last 3 days of my Meditrim and am very happy about that. My surgery is scheduled for Tuesday at 7:45 am. Keep me in your prayers that I have a speedy recovery and that everything goes great!

Thanks and eat before the shakes, eat anything and everything!!! LOL!!!

Thanks everyone for the well wishes! I am so excited and yet so friggin scared, it sometimes feels like my heart is going to explode in my throat!! The anathesologist (i have no idea how to spell it) has already ordered something to calm me down pretty much at the front desk!! LOL! They are so amazing there. I am planning a Halloween party for my 5 year old today so that will take my mind off it for a while and my costume is a t-shirt I made and drew the "Biggest Loser" logo on it. That will be me!!!! LOL! I will try and post pics tomorrow.
