the preop diet consists of a product you buy that the dietitian will give you a prescription for. It is basically 3 protein shakes a day plus 2 cups of certain kinds of veggis every day. You may also have as much water or sugar free liquid drinks you  want, ect...crystal lite, diet coke, sugar free flavored water, as long as it sugar free and has no more than 5 calorie. You can have coffee or tea but not with cream only a very small amount of skim milk or sweetner.
the protein product is called Meditrim and costs $180 for the 2 weeks. All this must be started 14 days prior to your surgery date and must be followed or they may cancel your surgery. I'll let you know how tasty it is!!!

 CONGRATULATIONS!!!

Wow that is so exciting and so fast!!  I love it!!

The time is going to just fly by, and take forever all at the same time, lol.  Truly fitting that you start on Thanksgiving as this is something to be truly thankful for.

Good luck, and make sure you keep us all posted.

I'm saving a seat for you on the losers bench!!

That is the date that I wanted!!  I am booked for oct 19th.  The shakes are actually really good.  The first 2 days are the WORST.  I am a landscaper during the day and a FT mom of 3!  The pre-op would be easier for a desk style job forsure!

Who is doing your surgery and are you having the sleeve too?

Dr Chris Andrew will be doing my surgery.  The shakes are pretty good blended with ice.  I really missed Thanksgiving Dinner.
