New here, glad to find the site

Hello

I am new to the site.  I live in Winnipeg and have my first appointment for surgery in September.  It took 3 years to get the appointment so I am rather excited that it is finally getting close.  I am a single parent with 2 kids.  I am wondering if anyone can tell me the usually recovery time from surgery?

First of all, congratulations!!!  I am so very excited for you!!!  I had my surgery one year ago in September too, so I know exactly what you're going through right now. 
If you are at all interested, you can read my blog and that should give you some idea of what you are about to experience.
