Hi Coreena, i am trying despIerately to gather information with regards to the process of wls. I am on the waiting list to see one of the surgeons some time next year. i am wondering if this means i have met the criteria already? Why would they place someone on a waiting list if they didnt meet the criteria? I dunno. My referral was sent in mid sept but right now they are processing feb referrals. Anyway, any info you could provide to me would be greatly appreciated. Thank you

The way I figure it, if you didn't meet the criteria then they would not have bothered to have you see one of the surgeons.  In the referral, you have to have met what they asked, with the initial referral to get an appointment.  But if its just a referral without having sent the initial form in,(Dr Andrews had sent out that letter in January to a lot of doctors) then I am assuming they will tell you then if you meet that criteria.  I don't know if this referral was generated by yourself or by your surgeon so I can't really give you a straight answer. Sorry

I was wondering where do you meet and how often.  I had my surgery September 20, 2010.  Things are really going well, but wouldn't mind meeting with fellow "sleevers".    So far I've lost 70 lbs and still losing. 

hi, the referral was sent by my md in mid sept. I guess i will just have to wait and see. It is just such a horrible  feeling to know that your future lies in someone elses hands. Congrats on your success, i cant imagine how much your life must have changed. anyway, i will you posted, thnx for the infoHAYLEY
