Hi!! I just wanted everyone to write an update on how things are going. As for me, I am waiting to hear back from a surgeon in Mexico about going for the VSG as soon as possible. I'm preparing myself mentally and physically and am very excited! Can't wait to hear back from everyone!

Some days are better than others. So far I have lost 22.4 lbs. That is exciting to me! As for the food issues...yesterday I found out I cannot tolerate home made pea soup....omg...did I get sick! Other than that, everyday is a journey in itself!

Hi there, I am interested in a support group. I live in Souris MB and would be willing to attend a meeting depending on how far I would have to travel. I have been waiting for my surgery since 2007. I have had an appointment with Dr Amson in BC in Oct of 2008 and am still waiting to hear something back. I called him and he just said that he doesn't get much operating room time and to be patient.

I am in Winkler myself and was hoping to have meetings in the Winkler/Morden area.  But I would be more than willing to meet with you if you are ever in the area.  I will e-mail you my contact information and please contact me if you'd like.
I am so sorry that have been waiting so long for your surgery.  I'm sure it must be very frustrating.  I will keep my fingers crossed and a prayer that hear some good news!!

Thanks that would be nice. I travel with my job and do go to the Morden/Winkler areas sometimes. Maybe when I am next there, we could meet up.

Wondering...why are you going to Belgium to get your DS done? Congrats on your surgery date!

Belgium is the safest and cheapest. Well why not? It is Europe!  No Canadian Dr. do the DS.

Talk to you soon Stephanie
