You are soooo evil!!!!! And yet, so brilliant. I'm posting!!! Here's whats up with me. I am trying to get the money together to go to mexico for surgery. With the cutbacks in BC it will be years more until my surgery with them. The waiting lists here are just too insane and I am tired of waiting.  I have been contemplating getting the sleeve instead of the RNY. So, have been doing TONS of research. Hey! Now it's your turn. I want an update from you too!

I know, just when I was nearing the finish line....cutbacks!! I am also doing my own thing. Changing my diet, excerising... I have recently changed to wanting the sleeve so I know I will have to do more to reach my weight loss goal. I was wondering, why did you choose to get the sleeve over other surgeries. I see that you have lost over 100 pounds. That's amazing!!!! How did you lose it?

I want a procedure I could spell..lol! No seriously I felt it was only one that I was comfortable with. I'm a mainly an overeater with normal food, w/binge only occasionally type on bad stuff. So lots of research and opinions brought me to VSG. I lost a lot by using lots of post op ideas regarding food requirements plus loads of vitamins along with exercise. I figured if I couldn't grasp the post surgery requirements now what's the point in having wls. I know some may disagree but oh well. We know what are bodies can hold.. I wanted to see if it could do! It can do it, but its not easy!

I'm on limited income so I can't afford the surgery on my own.  I'm in the Weight Wise program in Edmonton.  I'm just waiting for my first initial assessment, hopefully by the New Year.  In the meantime, I've been losing some weight.  I go to the Wellness Institute and since the beginning of Sept/09 I've lost 23Ibs.  If I can do it on my own then this may be the way for me, but time will tell I guess.  A friend of mine's husband is leaving today for Mexico to have the VS surgery. So my thoughts are with them today.  They live in BC.

Hi Laurie

I sure hope to receive some news about WLS.  I'll post any news here for sure.

I'll try to post as often as I can.  Sometimes things are pretty quite.

Good Night!
