I do! I do! My letter of referal to Manitoba Health got sent to be transcribed today. Its been sitting on my specialists "desk" for over 3 weeks. Hopefully it will go to Manitoba Health soon. Also, still waiting for confirm on another appointment with Dr.R specialist. Thinking I am going to get my tickets soon. VERY EXCITED!!!! And VERY NERVOUS!!!

 Talked to Sharon today because when referrals were sent to the diabetic clinic, she told me to phone Jackie to see if my referral was there. I did not get Jackie, I got some miserable so and so. I phoned Sharon back and told here what happened, she said she would look for me(wonderful lady) she called back and said yes my referral was there, but don't consider seeing him until early winter to next year. I guess there is a wack of people a head of me. Which I don't understand because when I first contacted them they told me there was about 50 who have seen him and 50 a head of me who have not and now they are talking 100's a head of me??? I just want to throw in the towel. If I wasn't  dam set on the DS I would jump ship!!!!!!!

Reconsider??  Have a vertical sleeve gastrectomy....

Awww, I know what you mean. It can be so frustrating. I was on a waiting list that went from a year to 2 and a half years. I was so crushed. Are there any other doctors that will do the DS in Canada? Get on as many waiting lists as you can. Getting on here and venting can be very therapeutic so do it! We are all here to listen and encourage.

My flight is booked!!!! Off I go for my consult on the 23rd of June. I'm so nervous and excited!!!

GEEEZZZ!!!!! Congrats!!

I'm still frickin waitin for a signed letter to clear me medically so I can FLY!!!!
