Liquid Diet

Question for the post op and pre-op about there liquid diet phase
 
Yes, I know.. its early to be asking about pre-op liquid diets when still waiting. But I have read many posts about the liquid diets required by your surgeon and fully understand the requirement of it. My concerns are with the total cost of these liquid diets. Optifast I'm told can be over $200. With my budget it will be a tight squeeze for the $$ so I need to know how much $$ to squirrel away? Are there other options we can buy locally perhaps boost, ensure, Slimfast?

Good question! I'm also curious to know how much post op patients spend on vitamins and supplements each month. Thanks!

Yes that is another question that should be asked and answered. I've wondered as to which vitamins and costs.

Haven't looked in to that BUT think of the money you are saving on food since you will only be able to eat a tiny bit amount so I think in the end, it would probably be pretty close to the same amt you would spend on food.

(well that is what I keep on telling myself anyhow)
