Does anyone know if the surgery is covered by MB Health? If not anyone know the cost to get it done in Winnipeg? Thanks

Hi Michelle I had an appt with Dr. Nohr in Medicine Hat, Alberta in May 2007 to discuss open RYN surgery (I had to wait from 2004 to 2007 for an appointment). I had surgery on March 13, 2008 and MB Health paid the travel, medical & hospital costs. Manitoba offers assistance to help cover transportation costs related to getting medical care in another province, http://www.gov.mb.ca/health/mhsip/travel.html. I know another woman from Wpg who had lap RYN with Dr. Star in Toronto but didn't wait as long. This MB Forum is not active, not sure why???
