Glad to hear that you are moving right along.  I know how you feel about the food options, I am a slightly picky person.  I do not eat yogurt, cottage cheese, refried beans, etc. so all those items that would have been good for me didn't step foot in this house LOL.  It does get better though, when you do start eating do not be surprised if your tastes have changed.  I love chicken and for a while could not even think about taking a bite of it.  Now I am going on 9 months out and I eat almost everything that I used to enjoy.

I do not have cravings for Mcdonalds, etc. and the only time I have visited the fast food chains is to get something for other family members.  Whatever you do, avoid the sweet temptations, even if it is sugar free.  I have been making that mistake for the past 2 months and I know that is why the scale is not moving.  Willpower is a tough thing to keep.

Good Luck!

Hi Congrats on your surgery and awesome weight loss so far!!

I live in Raynham and there are a few of us here on the boards (although we don't check in often) from the Raynham/Taunton/Bridgewater area.

We actually have a support group in Bridgewater on the last Monday of each month .. more than welcome to join us! Let me know if you would like more info!

Lisa and I go to the gym at 530 in the morning at the East Bridgewater YMCA. Yes - 530am LOL. We hate it but know we need to go

Topic: RE: BIDMC - Anyone seen Dr. Andrews?
I decided to go with Dr. Schnieder, but Dr. Andrews was my second pick! He gave my information session and was awesome. You know, he has done over 100 procedures, but he is still young, and fresh from his training. That is a really good thing. If I hadn't already had my appointments scheduled with Dr. Schnieder all set up I would have gond with Dr. Andrews because he really seems to know his stuff and was really open! Good luck to you

congrats!

Scales are not your friend. we do fluctuate in weight throughout the day/week/month and it makes a person crazy.

Chewing is such a great thing we take for granted.  When I was cleared for solids, I went home and made "cracker pizza".  A month of pizza commercials and pureed food led me to buy crackers, low fat cheese and tomato sauce to make tiny little pizzas in the toaster oven for a meal. YUM.

Just remember to do protein first.  Watermelon is good, but probably counts more towards your water intake!

3 weeks out and I feel GREAT (like Tony the tiger).
Had my NUT followup, doing fine. advanced to stage 5 this week (per md instructions since stage 4 went extremely well)

I really missed the chewing.  Still taking in my greek yogurt (cause I LOVE it) but all of my food intake is chewed really well. Some fullness but no vomiting......yet.

My favorite food so far......watermelon. It was so good I went back to the market and bought 2 more!! My kids help eat it too.

I bought a scale but I'm not happy with it, it's not very consistant (I KNOW I didn't gain 4lbs overnight). I figure I'll have to wait til my dr appt on the 19th and then when I go back to work on 7/5 (I trust the hospital scale we use).

Here's to a slimmer summer!!!
