Topic: RE: Anyone had or having surgury at Umass worcester?
I just had surgery at Umass and it was a great experience! The nurses are fantastic and very caring! The doctors are wonderful as well! Very thorough program! They said they can do it in 5-6 months if you are diligent however I decided to wait till the summer for surgery. So it took longer

Both.
Up to the knees.
I was put in the hospital for a "pump" down with a compression pump...hospital just to monitor to make sure my heart wasn't overwhelmed. Maybe find a vascular surgeon to see for the LE and find a therapist they work with...someone a little more cue'd into all this....

Very good point! I have also seen many people who were very heavy lose weight, and they never got lymphedema. So, if my weight is the reason, why doesn't every obese person develop it?
By the way, when you started your lymph treatment, did they wrap one leg to begin with or both? This wench of a woman I am forced to see said she didn't want to over-work my kidneys or my heart by wraping both legs at once.
And I am definately staying on the other waiting list, and I'm going to tell my primary care doc whom refered me to her. This woman is very cruel and definately unprofessional!

Do you see the glass as half empty or half full? I say, what difference does it make--I paid for a full glass,so either way I am getting jipped!!!

So sorry you are having troubles. I had my revision and my Intussesception surgery done by
Dr. David Lautz at Brigham and Women's Hospital. He is the guy that other surgeons send their cases to when they can't help. Good luck to you. Lisa

I have an eroded Lap Band that needs to be removed. My Lap Band surgeon has never removed an eroded band and/or performed a revision surgery on a previously banded patient so needless to say, I would like to find another surgeon experienced in this are! Any recommendations for a doctor/practice in MA with this type of experience?
