Awww thanks so much for thinking of me! I'm still not home yet, had to stay another night :(
I was in lots of pain and wasn't getting in enough fluids. I got nauseous on the carnation last night. Today I'm feeling better, drinking the carnation ok. Crossing my fingers I get to go home later! I'll post my whole story when I get home. Thanks again!

Have you visited the VSG forum? I had a LapBand for almost 5 years and just revised to VSG 3.5 weeks ago. I couldn't be happier so far - zero hunger. Other than boredom the post op liquid diet has been a breeze!.
Good luck!
Good luck!

I had NHP commonwealth care and My surgeon is Dr. Rayford Kruger in wareham Mass. Basically I had my first appointment with him and he told me I was a perfect canidate at the end of May. I went through the process of seminars, nutrionist, and psych and was approved and had my surgery 8/31/10. I couldn't get over how quick the process was and i think the only thing i needed to do was to lose between 10-20 pounds before surgery. I was called up a week before my surgery and was told i was approved and was given a date. Not sure how other doctor's offices operate but I know NHP covers the entire surgery and your only responsible for the psych and seminars which cost me $500. Good luck to you

I have soup at least once a day so sodium has been no problem here. Hope it helps with your symptoms.

Thank you guys for the encouragement. I called to set up an appointment with my NUT just to be told I have to wait another 3 months. I'm a little discouraged. As I said, I see the inches melting away slowly but was expecting to lose the obesity title and go down to just being overweight. How are things going for you? If people lose the majority of their weight between 12 and 18 months perhaps this is a good thing. I was expecting to enjoy the summer months in a nice bathing suit but I'm not there. Perhaps after hybernating this winter I'll be there next summer. I thought the beginning months would prove to be more of a drastic weight loss.
