Topic: I will change day and time for Northshore meeting?

Hi all you Northshore members, there has to be some of you out there.  I do have a place to hold the meeting.  I chose Sat 10:30 AM.  If that is not a good time, how about Sun 10:30 AM weekend afternoons, week nights, week days, anything you want?

I am also up for suggestions.  Please let me know what is best for all you Northshore members.   We will make it a fun meeting.  I promise.

Hey leaders, any suggestions on how to get members to join???  I did do a flyer for give my surgical team.  I also gave some to my therapist I am going on Nov 8 for a fill.

We all need to some face to face support.

Hi!! I'm here, I'm here! I haven't been on the boards in a couple days.

I was moved over to soft foods on Friday. Hooray! Noticed since I've been eating real food, my weight loss is slowing down a tad bit. Other than that, I'm doing great :)

Anything new with you?

The trail race ROCKED.  Was my boyfriend's first running race - he did great!  We'll definitely have to do something together soon.  I'm doing one in Leominster - a 5 mile road race on November 12.... :)

And the reason he thinks you are wonderful is because you ARE.  loose skin and life saving surgery ain't nothing when compared to being smart, adventurous and all out AWESOME.

Topic: Baked Ricotta Recipe - Portion size / protein count??
Does anyone know where I can find the information for the Baked Ricotta recipe from the Eggface site?  I can't seem to find what is considered a portion size or the protein count.

HaHa nevermind ... I just went to McDonald's and got one of those apple dipper sides for the apples. Couldn't be bothered to drive across town to the grocery store for 1 apple.

Thanks for posting this!

Topic: Protein Apple Oatmeal Cookies
These cookies are beyond moist and chewy!! Very soft and yummy!!

1/2 cup splenda or other sugar substitute
1/2 cup applesauce (unsweetened or sweetened with splenda)
1/2 cup of egg beaters
1 tsp baking powder
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp nutmeg
2 cups oats
1 cup chopped or shredded apple
4 scoops of cinnamon roll protein powder***** see note below

Directions:

~cream splenda and applesauce together, beat in eggs
~combine 1/2 of oats (1 cup), protein powder, baking powder, cinnamon, nutmeg and salt.
~stir dry ingredients into splenda/applesauce/egg mixture until well blended
~fold in remaining oats (1 cup) and chopped/shredded apple
~drop dough on parchment paper lined cookie sheets
~bake at 350 for 12-15 min, cool and enjoy!!

****** I used Lean Dessert Cinnamon Roll protein powder, and their scoops are half the size of other brands, feel free to use vanilla protein powder if youd like, but if you do so, only use 2 scoops instead of 4.
