Topic: RE: Frustrated about protein and eating
have you tried Spirutein protein shakes? they are soy based and are not whey based.
i really don't like the aftertastes of whey products
you can buy Spirutein at health food stores - you can buy 1 serving packets in a variety of flavors or a big can.... I recommend the chocolate flavor.
Do you go to support groups? They are awesome especially when you need to troubleshoot any issues you might have.
Also - when I was 5 weeks out I was also exhausted which impacted my attitude and I felt drained.
It does get better.

Topic: Pouch Party Coming to Mass!
Ok, so Nik & Jen (founders of http://bariatricfoodie.blogspot.com/) are coming to UMASS in Worcester to do a Pouch Party in February! All are welcome, you do not have to belong to the UMASS support groups. Nik & Jen are planning to come in Feb, but we don't have the date or details yet. I gave the paper work to the Umass Weight loss center and my surgeon and Nut LOVED the idea and it is being discussed in their next staff mtg.... so we are hopeful a date will be set for Feb shortly.
Here is what Nik asked of me, we need a committee of us to help with the planning of this and all that are helping will be free for the demo's. I am not sure what she is needing but if anyone of you is willing to help me get this going, I would love the help.
you can email me directly if you like at mara.cronin (at) fmr.com
It's gonna be FUN!!!

Topic: RE: Ya Hoo, I found a place for the North Of Boston Support Group
HI Good for you ! don't give up !!
Generally at the first meeting you will probably want everyone to introduce themselves - share a little about their journey - might want to start with you and why you've started the group - what you hope everyone might get out of it.
After you can ask others what they are looking for - if they want to share goals, accomplishments, challenges, etc.....
