that is terribly disappointing. I'd be fuming. Hopefully you didn't have to do a liquid diet as prep work. Hope they fit you in SOON!

I am sorry to hear that. Just think, you will be home for the big snowstorm that is coming!
It is okay to feel disappointed. At least, you are well prepared! It will still work out.
Look for new opportunities to come from this delay.

Topic: RE: New Here
Hello and welcome. I am not on here very often.
I hope it gets more lively with new folks!
I had surgery three years ago. We have a large support group that meets at Newton Wellesley Hospital.
I wonder if you can find a support group that meets closer to where you live.
I do not like driving out in the winter weather and am sure the drive from Millis to Boston is no fun in a storm.

Cancelled
OK it's not her fault - my surgeon had an emergency over the weekend and had to cancel her Monday & Tuesday surgeries... I did NOT envy the PA that had to call and make these cancellations.
Selfishly I feel like I've been punched in the gutt... I waited and prepared 49 days for this!!!
I'm devastated... I'll have my new date tomorrow, hopefully I won't have to wait too long.

Any last minute advice or suggestions???
When I got "my date" it was 49 days away... the fact that it is here ALREADY....holy crap!!!
I'm as physically and mentally prepared as I'm going to be (I think).
I packed my bag last night and my fiance (Frankie) is like "where the hell ya going" LOL so I unpacked the huge bag and repacked using a much smaller bag with just put a few necessities that I've read about... Chapstick, GasX, Face cleaning wipes, Whisps, slippers and a few other girly things.
(I'm not on any Rx meds so nothing to pack there)
At home - Plenty of (NF/SF/LS): liquids, Jello, Popsicles, Broth, Protein drinks (that I've tested and are yummy pre-op anyway - just hope my taste doesn't change), supplements in line and ready when I am, a few magazines and books to keep me company. The house is clean and bills are paid thru the end of the month this was my #1 concern I'm (self-diagnosed ocd) like that!
I'm prepared for a three night stay at Casa de Tufts (since I'm a revison)
A big fat thank you to all that have helped me get to this point!
Make room for me on that bench PLEASE!!!
Christine
