Getting ready for surgery

Hi all, I'm new here and this is my first post. I am pre-op and near the end of the process. I'm just waiting to hear from the surgeon's office to set up an appointment, then I'll get my date. I'm having the bypass done at UMASS in Worcester. I'm hoping to have Dr. Kelley. Has anyone had him? What was your experience? I'd love to hear from you!

Hi Patty, I am at the same step in the process as you. I have Dr Czurniak (in Dr Kelley's Group). I met with him this past week and was very impressed with him. Now i am just waiting on the insurance approval. But as for Dr Kelley - i have 4 close friends and family members that have had him and he is awesome! Good Luck!!!

Thanks for the responses! I have an appointment with Dr. Kelley on April 20th. I'm getting excited but scared, too! I've heard other people talking about after the bypass, you can loose your hair. Has this happened to anyone?
