Hi There I have Tufts through my husband's work and I did not have any trouble with getting approved. I went throuh at Saints Memorial and they did all the leg work for me. Tufts does have standard requirements. Go to Tufts web site http://www.tuftshealthplan.com/home.php and do a search for Gastric Bypass Surgery. I got this for a link http://www.tuftshealthplan.com/providers/pdf/medical_criteria/obesity-adult-surgical_treatments.pdf and it gives an overview of coverage. I have not had any problems with Tufts & the only thing I was required to pay out of pocket was the usual $15.00 co pay for each Dr's visit & a $100.00 co payment for the hospital stay when I had my surgery. Good luck! Jenna
