PRE -OP WEIGHT LOSS
My husband and I were both asked to lose 10% body weight. I didn't, but I lost some... he didn't, and his surgery was almost postponed or cancelled... they scared him into dropping some pounds immediately pre-op...

Dr. Lautz at the same office of Dr.Robinson does not require a weight loss, but requires a liquid diet for 2 weeks prior-and you'll loose some there. Dr.Vernon asks for a weight loss.
Some people are borderline on their BMI--and are told not to drop weight or insurance wouldn't pay.
I did diet before the surgery-from the time I had made up my mind for surgery. I was glad I did-however I am now loosing at a crawl-and I 'm sure it is because my body is adjusting. Although I can't complain--for I know these pounds will not come back!
Good Luck--Joan F.
