Pre-Ops make sure you buy...
Just MY opinion here again, but I highly recommend buying one of those toilet seat raiser things at your local health supply store, or someplace like Brooks Pharmacy, etc. They are about $20 and will help a GREAT DEAL after you get home from surgery - when you try and sit on a regular toilet seat after using the raised ones at the hospital, you will SWEAR you are gonna pee on your ankles!

2ND DAY WITHOUT PAIN MEDS - YAY!!!
I had surgery two weeks ago and I suggest buying some Neosporin to put on your incisions and buying some Nexcare knee and elbow bandages. The Nexcare bandages are much kinder on your skin than Johnson & Johnson products or dressings with medical tape. Neosporin is wonderful stuff and the generic triple antibiotic cream is the same thing. My surgical scars are nearly completely healed and are rapidly fading thanks to using the Neosporin. I didn't put Neosporin on my sutures until after they were removed. I hope this helps!
